Hi all!!! I just wanted to share the happy news!!!
My boyfriend has ordered the ring!!! My diamond is officially off the Whiteflash website, and it''s officially mine!! Katie and Blaine from Whiteflash gave it their seal of approval: they have been an absolute JOY to work with!

It''s a 1.04 carat, I SI1 from the Expert Selection collection. It''s a wonderful ''by the numbers'' diamond and I''ve been assured it''s just as pretty in person.
And I ended up going with 18K white gold (I was SO stuck on platinum) but in the end: I did more research and like the shine and warmer tone to WG. (I think it''ll look good with my fair skin and copper-red hair). Plus, my FFI''s ring in platinum would have been VERY expensive (he wears a size 12.5!)
I also ended up going with the simpliest setting I could (a six prong from Whiteflash) in order to put most of our budget into a stone. My FFI says he''s more than fine with upgrading the setting in the future if I ever change my mind and I really wanted to get to the almighty-1-carat mark.
It''s silly I know, but everyone has their own preferences right? Plus, I''ve always prefered six prongs, it has a platinum head... and there is something about a simple solitaire that screams ''just engaged''. I love it!
