Unusual cushion pattern?

I'm looking at cushions and radiants and I came across a couple of cushions with patterning that I've never seen before (Of course, I'm new to all of this so maybe this style of cushion is typical). Examples are posted below. Is there a name for this style of cushion? Does anyone have experience with this style, and if so do you have any thoughts? Thanks.

The VVS1 looks to be Canadian, thus the maple leaf inscription.

Yes, they do look different. I kind of like the first. The second one looks like it has leakage under the table. An aset image would tell a lot about what's going on. That would be your next step if interested. Interesting looking stones.

First one Brian Gavin designed and produced something with a very similar facet structure and appearance.

The second one is a cut that maximizes yield as the mains don't extend very far and allows for steep lower break facets much like a radiant.

Judging from the photo of the second one it is probably the watery slushy small flash type of pattern. This type structure and result is one of the most common on the market today as it allows for one of the highest yields for a cushion outline available.

Both of these should be significantly cheaper per carat than the OMB/CB often preferred here, but the cheaper price comes at a cost, neither of these facet structures produces the brightest cushions.
