Unique, interesting, or just plain odd stones...Post them here!

But look at the angles on the stone...so nice:kiss2:

You wonder why a cutter would go to the effort

Pride?
I could forgive that knot, absolutely.

How unusual @MMtwo ...not sure what I'd do with that shape.:loopy:

For 20k, a very expensive experiment.

Yikes! I hadnt even clicked on the link!

I color, I1 clarity. 2.01 cts. Large for my tastes but only for occasional wear, and priced accordingly.

From a certain distance, it looks like a “normal” diamond.

Up close, there are rainbow splinters, and it reflects whatever colors are in the environment. It looks slightly peach, or in some lights, a little grey.

It is hard to photograph. Even more difficult than moissanite or FCD. But it sure is pretty and a fun “rock collector” diamond.

Lovely addition, love the wonderful misty quality. Looks great on you, too!

Does it fluoresce white?

It's only a Good cut but I am drawn to this for some reason

Who said it was a "good" cut?
Did some one come up with a new cut grade system for fancies that actually works?

That's very interesting @autumngems ...can you provide the link?

This is why you can't rely on the Cut classification. It's usually only based on the table and depth, which just doesnt
tell you enough.

To me, it seems pricey for a Good cut and sort of haziness to it, even if it is D VS2 with SBF.

Its quite charming @autumngems ! Yeah, that depth,:loopy:.

Its showing it as a 4 main on the GIA report. I believe GIA picks the closest representation from a set of standard cut diagrams.

It reminds me of a princess cut in the middle with multiple chevrons like a princess cut.

Here's a princess cut anatomy diagram
