Union Diamond???

So I had posted on here recently about the Emerald Cut that my jeweler brought in for me. While I have been waiting on him to create the setting, I was looking at other stones and prices etc and found the exact stone he showed me online:

Should I be concerned at this? I assume not as dealers are trying to sell the same stones all over the place, but figured I would check.

Also, I noticed that it says its a UnionDiamond Select Ideal Cut. Does that really mean anything? I think I recall gypsy saying that you dont have cut grade on Emerald Cuts.

Just curious as to any thoughts out there. Thanks!!!

That's right, fancy cuts don't have cut grades although AGS does grade Princess cuts. The stone is listed in a virtual inventory that many vendors have access to. Often you will find the same stone listed with several vendors, so no worries.

When will your ring be ready? You must be getting very excited!

Ring won't be ready for a couple weeks apparently. They are duplicating a designer style that has channel set aschers or square-emeralds along the band. I think he was having a tough time finding the stones, but he said today he thinks he did. I am getting excited to see the ring. I just have to figure out how I am going to pop the question now, which is not easy for me. I tend to be overly analytical and also would like it to be a surprise that has some originality to it. All those factors are not mixing well for a final decision!!!

Check out some of the youtube proposal. I was watching a few the other day and got weepy! There were some very sweet and original ideas. If it helps, I think that most of us think that our proposals were the most wonderfully romantic moment of our lives regardless of how it was grand or simple it was. Have you seen the proposal ideas forum? You might find some inspiration there.
