Anyone ordered from Union Diamond or Blue Nile into Australia?
I note that Union Diamond collect the GST/customs duties on a buyer''s behalf
I understand though that Australian customs duties/taxes for loose diamonds is 0% duty + 10% GST and for jewellery pieces (diamond and setting) - 5% duty and 10% GST.
Is this correct?
Could customs stuff up and double charge me the duty/GST (even though I prepay to Union Diamond / Blue Nile the applicable duties/GST)?
