under stress from boss from hell

My mom is under a LOT of stress... it''s really making her depressed and upset and it''s seriously affecting her health.

Without getting into the details, her boss is just plain mean! He yells and cusses at her, harasses and degrades her. She can''t take it to HR because she is HR. To top it off, when the company wants people to retire, they keep changing their job description from one crap job to another and often gives them two jobs to handle until the employee gets fed up and quits. Plus, it''s worse for women there... the whole teamster-good ol'' boy mentality. It really makes me mad that they treat her like this.

I would appreciate some prayers and fairy dust for her.

I am sorry. There must be something she can do. Is there anyone else she can go to? He sounds like a jackass, and what they are doing is not okay.

Sounds like a hostile work environment to me. IF her chances of finding another postion are decent, someplace else (has she looked?) I''d file a couple of reports do some logging of everything that''s happened, and call up an attorney. If they fire her, or make it worse for her... sue''em. Plaster it all over the local news that the HR department of this place is this bad of an offender. Make them pay.

Sorry, just fed up with demon bosses and the companies that allow them to continue to abuse people.

Thanks. I know Gypsy can empathize that''s for sure!

She''s near retirement age and worked there so long... not easy finding a position elsewhere when you''re older. She would be an excellent employee anywhere... but the chances to be offered an opportunity to prove that aren''t good.

It''s not just the HR dept. The workers have a lot of support because of the hardcore union, but management has nothing. She often doesn''t have a day off works double+ shifts, etc. It''s their practice to make it worse and worse for people. It''s very frustrating to see her treated like she is.

She''s just trying to suffer through it until she can retire. Not sure about going public with the news... it''s a very well known, very large company with the money to draw out court cases. It totally sucks.
