Gulp! Cuz I need more makeup I don't wear

@ame our resident guru I'm hoping you'll chime in with some recommendations!

3/22: buxom full on lip cream $10 (reg $20)

3/23: urban decay eyeshadow singles $10 (reg $20)

3/29: benefit cosmetics roller lash super curling and lifting mascara $12 (reg $24)

3/30: peter Thomas Roth unwrinkle peel pads $22.50 (reg $45)

4/2: shiseido urban environment oil-free UV protector $24 (reg $48)

4/7: too faced better than sex mascara $11.50 (reg $23)

Hot guys every day of the event:
Lipstick queen saints and sinners $14 (reg $24)

I wish I had an Ulta closer so I could pop in everyday!

You dont have a problem with mascara getting old/drying up? I dont wear it everyday then when I go to use it its gotten dry/cakey. I
put eye-drops/saline in it to loosen it up but its never really the same ones it gets a little dry.

No i don't open them all up at once bahahahahaa. I'm cray cray but NOT that cray cray lolol. But once you crack one open you can hear the tick tock tick tock of the mascara shelf life. I feel like I don't have to worry about keeping one too long regarding bacteria Bc it eventually doesn't work as well and I toss it. I never get to try the priceyer ones so these price points are too good to pass up lolol.

I also tend to use the same couple of lip product exclusively in my older age Bc I don't fuss as much any more. One for evening that lasts longer as a stain balm and one that's a tinted sheer lip product for stepping out for an errand. I'm excited about all these new brands I can try at a great discount.

I have these, used them every day religiously, and I don't feel it made any difference at all. Then again I already use retinol based skin treatments, so maybe there's just no room for improvement???:confused::bigsmile:

I do like the Philosophy Microdelivery exfoliating wash - I use that every day, and I do think it helps smooth my skin. That's today's deal!!

Hey thanks for reminding me! I use the Tarte mascara and love it. I want to try the Smashbox primer water too.

I'm gonna get this instead of the pads. Thank you for the feedback!

I told my daughter about the tarte mascara, it is her favorite. I probably won't buy anything but I do love ulta. A lot of the time, there are products that are the same price as the beauty supply stores she goes to. I love that you get real cash off your purchases as opposed to some 'gift' they want you to take like at Sephora.

I found a huge bottle of this at Costco not too long ago. It was about $26.

I went and bought my mascara and I am trying the Philosophy exfoliating wash. I got sucked into trying the new IT Bye Bye foundation. Good thing is I can take it back if it causes irritation.

Ooooh, thanks for the heads up, @PintoBean ! I will stock up on Hypnose mascara. It’s my fave because it washes easily, but wears nicely all day. I haven’t branched out to try the others!

Exfoliating wash/wipe lovers— what one/s should I try out? I use one by SkinMedica that I like, but I might try a new one from Ulta this month.

I’m getting Buxom lip cream, too! My 14-year-old introduced me to that line last year. :)

Well damn, I never have time to check this and nothing ever emails me when I am tagged! Sorry I am too late to reply.

I didn't buy anything more than something on the last day from the sale because literally nothing in it was at all of interest to me... The only purchase I made was some Too Faced Better than Sex, and really only planned to get my mom her nonWP tubes. I went to make a return that morning and saw that the store near me decided to include the WP so I got some of that for myself.

The stock up thing going on now is meh as well. Nothing really exciting me in either week's releases. VIB is this weekend for Rouge's and I have my dry shampoo in my cart and that's about it. I might check next week to see if the Sbox Vlada collab is available and get a Highlighter or something from that. But otherwise...not much is blowing the socks off of me lately. I've bought a bunch of stuff, but nothing has been like OH MY GOD WOW. I like the Ofra Highlights I got because they are the first ones I've been like "whoa someone's gonna really see this!" about. The Tryst and Petit Pro II from Viseart are nice (but the quality can be really inconsistent.) and the After collection from Bad Habit Beauty (in the Hush App and only available in the US iirc) needs to restock so I can get a backup of the After Party (whichever is black and brown) and the red one. They are fantastic! I've dropped the After Party one TWICE now, so I might just depot the one I have now so I don't do it again.

KKW Concealer is good but not OMG and I don't know if it's good bec the baking powder really makes it bright, or if it's just better than Shapetape. But I do notice that it doesnt look as "covered" if I don't use that baking powder.

All the new skincare I've been trying from SkinMedica, SkinBetter and Truth Treatments is messing my face up because I did too much changing at once.

Just make sure you don't cash out the points til you have at least 2000. That's when it's $125.00

That is a good tip Ame. I can't remember how much I had the last time I cashed them in but I know it was way worth it. I keep up on it and shop especially when they have double points through the year and especially during my birthday month.

Oh fudge! I kept letting them redeem $3 here and there! And I became platinum!

Once you're Platinum and or Diamond (:-o) you get lots of points multipliers, like 5x on stuff or on the 10x Platinum Member Appreciation Day, 10x on some items they list, and 5x on every other item you buy during that day. It's usually a damn good sale, too. But I almost always have at least three 5x promos going on, like for one whole brand, or several "skincare" or haircare brands they itemize. I rack them up. I rarely have under 2000 stored, and last year after the 10x day I think I had like 7000. That paid for several orders!

Oh hell no, don't do that til it's 2000! Do them only in increments of 2000.

And if you shop IN STORE, check your shit before you pay. Make sure someone hasn't stuck a finger in it, or used it. Really, do that everywhere.

I am platinum! I am impressed that you held off for 7000 points. That takes some restraint! I guess I don't buy as much stuff as I thought, at least compared to you @ame! Or maybe you are just a more savvy shopper than I am. I was buying Living Proof Shampoo and conditioner and was really racking up the points with it because that stuff is pricey. Retirement is looming, so I went to the beauty supply store and got a killer deal on some gallon size Big Sexy Hair shampoo and conditioner. My daughter gave me one of her cards so I can shop at a discount. Win win, but no points sadly.

Living Proof might have just been in one of their events...But keep an eye on all their events, follow people like BeautyDealsBFF, HotfireMakeup, the like. They will let you know of the really sweet deals coming up.

I just try to take advantage of points multipliers and events.

Hi. I need help. Can you please talk me into tossing my old lipsticks? Bacteria argument isn't working for me. Maybe we need a staggered release program. Like, PB, use this old lippie for a month and then you're going to release it to the waste bin. Or PB you have so many beautiful NIB things you have yet to try.

Please, convince me. I know I'm needing help when lip germs aren't a scaring me right now. Eye germs no problem and mascara just quits working anyways. Eyeshadows are dry so I'm not as scared... but... back to the lippies...

If they don't have any kind of smell or seem broken down/discolored I would keep using them. Eye shadows I'm more likely to toss since mold could be growing under the pan and you can't see that. I think liquid lips usually break down faster than those in a tube.

Mold in a pan?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh FML!

I have never had a mold issue with any powders, but I know of issues with pencils and lip products.
