Ugly or beautiful?

I know it's all in the eye of the beholder - I want to know what YOU think It's a trillion Ceylon sapphire set in platinum.

I don't own it. I saw it online on another UK-based website I browse, as someone's e-ring. I initially didn't like it and thought it looked like costume jewellery, but for some reason I keep thinking about it, and now... I kind of want it

Beauty is subjective and I can see people thinking that’s a lovely ring. It’s not my style, but the most important thing when buying a gem or jewelry in general is that you know exactly what you’re getting (synthetics, natural, treatments, metal purity, clarity, etc…), and you’re paying a fair price.

Design is simple, protective and durable. My preference would be to have cutouts in the bezel so some light can get it to help the stone "light up" when light conditions is less than ideal.

I like patina on PT and darken gold but would prefer using these metal types with more saturated gems.

I don’t like platinum but I do love a bezel - personally I would prefer it in yellow gold.

Not my taste as I loathe bezels but I can see someone liking that ring.

It's not a monstrosity! Some things are an absolute monstrosity and this is nowhere near being that.

I'd put it under "not for me" but I don't think it's offensive.

I voted beautiful because I have many bezel set rings like this, set in a mix of silver and gold. Some days you want a elaborate blingy diamond halo, some days you just want an understated but solid setting that can take some knocks. This is a ring you can wear camping, to the beach or volunteering, without worrying about it.
