This isn''t really related to Miraclesrule working on her blessings, but it reminded me of a wedding I went to where what the preacher said a bunch of stuff that was not at all representative of the couple''s beliefs. The bride''s family was baptist and wanted them to be married in the Baptist church, even though our friends weren''t particularly religious.
At the ceremony at one point the preacher starts talking how (I''ll have to paraphrase, don''t remember the exact words) where woman was created from Adam''s rib, and that''s where a woman should be, under the arm of the man, where the man should protect the wife, and the wife should be subservient to the husband, etc, etc). I mean literally my husband and I looked at each other we were so suprised. Later at the reception we mention it to our now-married friend and he says you were suprised, what about me? He never said any of that stuff during the rehersal!
Maybe it serves them right for getting married in a particular church for family reasons, but it doesn''t seem respectful for a preacher used their wedding as his personal soapbox.
