How does someone lose engagement ring, wedding band, and one earring within the course of maybe a couple of hours?

I’m guessing - if insured - her provider is going to be going over this one with several fine-toothed combs. I really can’t think of any way this happens that doesn’t involve a fraudulent agenda :???:

I wondered the same thing! I suspect she took all off for the massage. After massage, instead of putting them all back on, she dropped them in her purse or into her robe pocket. They fell out of her purse or robe pocket perhaps. I’m thinking purse. Purse had a hole maybe. Or she knocked purse over. Or it’s an insurance scam!

Let’s just hope it was all insured!

if this is a legitimate loss or theft. i would feel so so so sick. i'm hoping it is all insured.

could be insurance fraud as @yssie and @caf mentioned

although, sounds highly possible after a fabulous relaxing massage

pre covid, when i had spa appointments, i left all jewelry at home except difficult to remove bracelets. less to worry about in the changing room

This is the WEIRDEST coincidence ever! My cousin lost her rings at the same shopping center just yesterday! She wrote about it on Facebook!

Here is her post! Thankfully, she had a happy ending! I changed a bit of the post so as not to identify her.

Yesterday my prayers were answered by one special lady! We were on our way to a wedding and I had worn my wedding rings and my grandmother’s diamond ring she had passed down to me. In the car I removed them to put some lotion on and had them in my lap. We made a quick stop in Southlake Town Center. We pulled into a non-parking spot so I could quickly jump out for something. A few hours later, we were nearly to our destination in Palestine and I look down to my bare hands... Complete panic! As my husband begins to search the car, I frantically call the store I had gone into to beg them to look in the parking area. NOTHING. My mom and daughter race to SL to look under every car while I continue to call anyone I could think of. Nothing in the car, nothing on the ground and over 2 hours has now gone by. I then decide to call the police and see if there is anything else to do. Fortunately, the lady I spoke with had previously had a call from Jared’s jewelry store that a lady had found a ring but didn’t turn it in. The police say they will make contact with Jared’s again. With this information, my mom and daughter go over to Jared’s to see if there is any additional information. An amazing woman named Valerie was there. Valerie was working yesterday when one of her friends she hadn’t seen in 10 years comes in with some rings she found in the parking lot to see if they were real. Valerie inspected and cleaned them for her. I was then able to describe them to her on the phone and send a picture for verification. She said they might match. Valerie had exchanged numbers with who we learned was Tiffany and might have my rings. A little later I was able to talk with Tiffany on the phone just before the wedding was starting. Tiffany had walked out of a store earlier that day with sun in her eyes. As she shielded her eyes and looked down, she had seen a ring. When she bent down to pick it up, she had found THREE diamond rings. Thirty minutes later, my mom and daughters were meeting up with Tiffany to recover all of my lost rings. They had been cleaned, boxed and were perfect! I think we all cried tears of joy. Wow! Valerie and Tiffany are two special people and felt they were only doing what was right. Also, love to my mom and daughter for going above and beyond! Needless to say, I will definitely be paying it forward!

Also. Massage and boutique cookies - essentials during

OMG. SO glad they were found so quickly, and by someone honest!!!

@Gussie I'm glad your cousin got them back but the way I read that Tiffany was definitely planning to keep them until called out otherwise....

Paywall went up before I could read the story. Found a pic elsewhere. It looks like frozen spit to me.

That woman doesn’t have the sense god gave a goose. Who wears jewelry like that to a massage?

Agreed 100%! When I used to go get massages pre COVID I used to stress about taking my phone even. If I ever get a massage in a hotel spa for example (when I am staying in a hotel) I go down with the hotel slippers on my feet and nothing, not even my phone or wallet in my pocket. I’m happy to pay for the massage by signing it to my room (and 99% of places that I’ve been at allow you to also sign the tip to your room). I can’t fathom wearing multiple bracelets and a whopping ring + earrings to a spa!

I cannot reply- I am on my way to Southlake with a metal detector! :)

This made my day. I just can‘t stop laughing. Otherwise - best of luck to the lady.

How did she manage to lose two rings AND an earring? Something's not quite right here.

Assuming she took them off before the massage and put them in her bag or something they could have been very likely stolen there. Especially if they saw her take them off.
Takes a masseuse a long tine to make a hundred grand.
Just so weird - if she had them at the end of the massage why didn’t she put them back on ? Why only one stud?
Too many questions.

HI:

Maybe she only has only one piercing? Or it was a second piercing? Either way and at any rate--she had a bad day.

cheers--Sharon
