two tone amethyst diamond inlay with pics

This ring used to belong to my great aunt, and I was given this ring after she passed away. I love it so very much (I''m a total purple freak), and when I wear it, it reminds me of her (in a pleasant/happy way).

I don''t know the "specs" of the ring. I do know that they are diamonds on the sides, and I am pretty sure it is amethyst. The only reason i''m not 100% certain is because the stone is two toned. You can only see it slightly in the photos (its very hard to photograph!) but the stone has a deep purple half, and a light purple half.

Anyways, Ive been hanging out in the pearl forum for the last month or so, and decided to venture out to share with you my ring!

Diadiva - if you read this, you actually were the one to inspire my post, I see you down in the pearl forums with your beautiful pearls, someone mentioned to check out your pearl collection, and I came across your hand shot of all your rings, I saw your beautiful big purple square cut ring(amethyst?) and wanted to ask you about it. I haven''t gotten the chance to, but now i can! Do you have a thread for that ring?
