Just wondering what your thoughts were on these shoes! Is the vinyl look ok for a wedding or should I be going with something cloth? I want PINK for sure though!! These are from payless and really cheap so thats why I picked these.

I think you are sort of punk rock! I like the second cake with the Fucia (my favorite color), but with the cute cake topper and perhaps fresh flowers???

Shoes are cool beans.

I am wary of the shoes because I have never bought a pair of Payless shoes that was comfortable for more than half an hour. In fact, uncomfortable enough for me to never go back there again.

Where are you getting married?

I have to second this, I find payless shoes to be some of the most uncomfortable out there. You can still find fun, affordable pink shoes that are comfortable. If you can''t Freke will

As always the shoe shopper aims to please...

Ooh - those shoes that oobiecoo posted are super cute

I really like the second cake, but I think you should go with whatever you think is most "you" (and your FI of course

I prefer cake# 2, however, if your personality and the tone of your wedding suits your cake# 1 then that would certainly be the winner.

I would think that cake# 1 decor might better suit a bachelor party or some sort of informal get together, however, this being said, wedding can be so stuffy sometimes, a cake like this might definitely loosen up some of your guests.

With regards to the shoes, I''m sure that your perfect shoe is still out there. The ones oobiecoo posted are super cute. Put FrekeChild on the case, I have no doubt that she will find you exactly what you are looking for and within your price point, to boot.

Good luck!

All I need are size, budget, color, heel height and anything else you might be particular about (styles, need ankle straps, strappy, etc. or the opposites). Anyway, let me know if you want help!

Ahh. Either cake is perfect then. Although those shoes do NOT look comfy. I'd re-think those.

Yay for Vegas weddings in pink shoes! The second pair that oobiecoo posted is currently top of my list of wedding shoes, so I vote for those. Also, I agree with her about choosing the first cake, but edited a little (as the Project Runway judges say).

I love it when a wedding has a bit of a cohesive theme. Love the Vegas cake - #1 - Unique.

ooooh, honey, you are in the company of some serious shoe obsessed!!!! as much as i love a pair of cheap shoes (my tastes are expensive, but my budget prohibits---quite tragic!), i agree with the payless bashers. payless is great if you need shoes to wear to a theater--cute and you only have to stand in them for about 45 seconds. beyond that, ABORT MISSION! sooo uncomfortable! if you really need super-cheap, target has some that are cheap and far more comfortable, and zappos is shoe-HEAVEN! seriously though, freke can find you some beautiful ones, and i''m not too far behind (hey, freke, i take pride in finding a pair of shoes that YOU absolutely had to have!!!
21.gif
one of my more proud moments!) both the cakes are cute--i really like!

And I love them dearly! (And am terrified to wear them anywhere in case I get the white part dirty!!!Lol.)

And Target shoes are WAY MORE COMFY than Payless (I own 2 pairs of Target heels/wedges, and they''re more comfy by far than the Payless flats.)

awww, freke!! shoes are meant to be worn...and ps. aspirin cleans whites well. just dissolve it in some hot water and spot clean should the white get not so white. i still feel bad for making you fall in love with a pair of emilio pucci shoes!!! i should''ve warned you that the only PSer who can afford my shoe tastes is DiamondFan (i picked a FABULOUS person to adopt me, hahahaha). i PROMISE you--should i win the lottery before you get married, i''ll get you the shoes and mail them!

Oh no, DF said she''d adopt me because I can cook!!

(Maybe she''ll adopt both of us???)

And thanks for the aspirin hint. That will SO come in handy!!

(Oh yeah, and I have another pair of shoes coming on Monday, but they''re just plain ol'' pointy toed heels in black see? Very basic, but a replacement for a pair I''ve had for about 5 years and pretty much worn out (puckered leather, worn out heel, worn out toe, etc) and I found them for only $42 (on sale from $110)!!!!)

Wohoo!!!!

Hi Princess,

I like both cakes, and think whichver suits your personalities best is the one you should go with.

I am also on the hunt for fuchsia shoes and happened across those same ones you posted from Payless. Yes, they are cheap, and I walked around in the store for them for a bit and my feet were sweating like crazy, and it was a cold, rainy day here a few weeks ago when I was there, so it wasn''t like I was hot!

If I were you, I would look at the wedding shoe thread here...Freke and many others found a bunch of fuchsia shoes that might work out a bit better for you!

HTH!

Hey Princess, please don''t be offended by my comments. You asked for opinions!!

I''m more formal so I''m drawn to the second cake but if you toned down the "busy-ness" the first cake could be very cute. But.....really don''t like the bride hanging onto groom. Could be cute at a bachelor''s party. I know it''s supposed to be whimsical and funny, but I''ve never been a big fan of those cake toppers where the message is "bride strong arms groom to the alter." I''d suggest a different pose for the couple that is cute but looking forward to their future happily together.

Harleigh and Princess: I had hot pink shoes and I got them at David''s Bridal of all places. They will dye any of their bridal shoes almost any color for free (think they had 3-4 different dark pinks to choose from). I just put some waterproofing spray on them after to keep the dye from transferring and I was good to go. And they were pretty comfy, even had gel soles.

Thanks for the heads up, neatfreak! Now, if only I can find them in a death-defying height...hehehehehe!
