Hi all,
I just got my stone and I''m over the moon :) I''m hoping I can make some decisions soon and get it into a setting. Two questions - should I have ritani set the diamond rather than our jeweler? Why is one better than the other? Second question - can ritani match the color of my stone for the side stones? I want one of the styles with micropave.
Thanks all!
Olympia
Ooh - the stone is a transitional cut that''s approx 6.5mm in diameter - it''s a family piece and that''s about all the info I have on it right now.

It will probably be important to send your stone to Ritani to be set. I would be afraid it might void the warranty on the ring if the jeweler set it. And Ritani makes really pretty prong tips, so I wouldn''t want to chance it.

You don''t need to match those little stones, either. I think Ritani uses something like G-H, and that goes just fine with higher and lower colors. The stones are really too small to detect color anyway.

Thanks a lot, diamondseeker! I''m so in love with this stone I just can''t wait to get it set! I''m going to check it out tonight with the setting - hopefully it''ll be a great match :)

Well we are certainly anxious to see your beautiful stone! And I am sure it will be gorgeous in a Ritani setting! I have tried them on and they are among my favorites!

Aw, thanks so much! I''m really excited. I''m hoping the ritani will be a great match for the delicate stone. I''m just so happy about the diamond that I could burst :)
Now I think I want a rose gold eternity band to match.... Ha!
