I thought certifications were unique to each diamond, i'm a newbie so i really don't know. But to my surprise, i found an EGL usa cert for the same diamond on Ebay ( UniversalDiamondExchange ) and on Brilliance.com. I've contacted both of them about this but they haven't returned my emails. Can someone shed some light on this, thanks.

It is likely the same virtual diamond being listed by two sellers.

In other words, the diamond is owned by a diamond supplier and 20 (or 100) jewelers might list the stone for sale. They do not have it on hand and they would have to order it to even look at it.

My advice is to only use a vendor who will provide images of the stone as well as idealscope images. B2C Jewels is a vendor who is low priced, deals mostly with virtual stones, and sometimes provides the images.

Also, EGL is not a reliable lab. Stick to GIA or AGS only.

lab reports are unique to each diamond. in your case, the same diamond is probably listed at different locations to help move sales.
