okay Danielle...just for you sweetie...
I spent some time this afternoon clearing off the guest room bed, and putting everything together then clearing out the room from all the debris (aka extra bedding stuff which I just have coming out my ears, who needs three duvet covers and 5 extra pillows???)...which will go into the garage storage area at some point I''m sure. Anyway here are some shots...the room is only PARTIALLY put together so far, I still have to frame up my prints into these frames I bought that are dark wood and then we have to hang them and put up the PB wall shelf as well AND then lastly the bronze stars!! I love the bronze stars by the way, they are AWESOME and they were 1/2 the price as the PB ones and look just as good if not better.
Oh and I have to order a set of white sheets from Overstock so the bed is only partially done too, I don''t have sheets on it right now that is why the duvet is all the way up, when I have the sheets (I may get an eyelet set to match the bedskirt which is a cotton eyelet from PB from 2 years ago, not a cheesy eyelet but a more modern one) I will fold them down and fold the blanket down too to make it more of a ''layered'' look on the bed.
But so far it''s looking GREAT and man I just love the wall color, it''s so warm feeling and yet summery too in a way...the color varies with the light in the corners so it''s light in some areas and darker in others. Amazing what a difference some paint and a new quilt set can make so far! Oh and the lemongrass quilt set goes absolutely perfect with the colors in the room so far. There is black metal (on the mirror and the lamp base and the corner table as well) and then the mahogany accents are looking good so far in little touches and will be even stronger with the bronze stars and the PB mahogany shelf and frames and then the white crispness on the bed kind of just finishes it off visually. I can put a few more ''green'' accents around as well aka the flowers on the nightstand and a candle or two on the PB shelf once it''s up and it should be fab. I''m so excited. I wanna stay in the guest room!!!
Okay so here is the first picture...it''s just of the wall to ceiling to show some contrast on how the color is much darker.
