I've seen these two diamonds in person. At some point they all seemed the same to me. I feel like I am cologne testing at Sephora, and it's time to step back and smell the jar of coffee beans.

Cue pricescope...

Both have light performance of excellent (obviously as both are AGS000).
Both have great arrows, great hearts.

I am just concerned with the 'very good' rating for fire and scintillation.
What would you do? Both are super eyeclean. Color in H is not apparent in this size of a stone.

The HCA results are normal and typical for these stones. Don't worry about the HCA score. Go for the cheaper one if you can't tell the difference.

I'm not worried about the numerical HCA score, as both are under 2.0.

My question is what determines the fire and scintillation scores to be very good or excellent?

HCA is a rough rejection tool, with input from averaged numbers, not a selection tool. Since you have seen it, your eyes will be a better tool for selection, trust them if you cannot see the difference, then there is no difference.
