The worm turns: http://distractify.com/news/2017/01/26/twitter-trump-regrets

I think this is hilarious.   And we told them so. And they have only themselves to blame.

The Republican party is being de-branding by this President. They are now officially the party of people intent on taking away stuff: insurance, reproductive rights and freedom of speech, so far. From the Party of Reagan to the The Party of No. To the The Party of Crazy Trump.

This will bite them in the butt in 2018, when the ENTIRE House of Representatives is up for re-election. And a lot of the Senate. I'm getting active with my local branch of the Democratic Party. I want to fill the seats with Democrats.

They can stand with the looney (and are their no psychiatrists ready to say that Delusions of Grandeur is a real mental illness?) and all go down together, or they can cut their losses and dump him. I suspect the tax returns will be interesting reading for a lot of lawyers.

Crazy Trump.

Rant over. 8-)

I thought about posting this LOL. So terrible. Like, am I happy? Not really. Justified? Maybe slightly.

And you really believe these are actually former Trump supporters?

Where is that bridge??

Re: Twitter Filling Up with Trump Supporters Who Regret . .

I cannot take any satisfaction from this at all. We are all paying and will all continue paying the price of electing this man into the office of President. Period. We are all in this mess together and we must somehow figure a way to fix it and survive his term in office.

So IMO it would be great to get away from the us against them attitude and somehow work together in making out country more humane and livable again. In looking out for each other instead of fighting with each other.

I am not saying we as PSers are doing this- no to the contrary I think for the most part we are all discussing things in a logical caring manner (with just a few exceptions). However, I think it important to not view this as us against them as that is not constructive right now. What the democrats ought to be doing IMO is planning a good candidate for the next Presidential election or else we might be faced again with unpalatable choices for the masses.

Good for you iLander for getting active and trying to fix this for the next election! :appl: Everyone should do what they can to work towards a solution to this HUGE mess.

What proof is there that they aren't? These could be the same people who said Obama was born in Kenyan and he's a muslim.. we just don't know. It could be Russians, it could be Chinese, it could be real people.. but until it's verified (and the site Distractify is a news site for millenials, the site rehashes real news into a viral form :) ) those millenials. Also maybe it's undercover zealots who have edited different twitter accounts to form something a person didn't really say! Like the PP tapes. We just don't know.

Exactly, which is why after posting with you girls I am now learning how to vet facts a little better before taking them as truth.

I certainly can't say I'm surprised by an "I told you so" attitude. I think that there are lots of folks who would just love to see Trump fail - no matter what the cost. I didn't vote for or like Obama, but I didn't want him to fail.
I know quite a few trump supporters and none of them are regretting their vote  - quite the contrary actually because they are pleased that Trump is following through on his campaign promises. I'm not saying that there aren't people who don't regret their vote - I would suppose that maybe there are in any election.

I didn't want Trump to fail, I knew he would fail, supply side econ doesn't work, tax cuts for the rich don't create jobs they just create really rich people getting richer and investing more in the stock market and getting even richer. I don't understand why the people you know are not upset at the chaos created and the pain this is causing Americans. Very sad indeed.

Re: Twitter Filling Up with Trump Supporters Who Regret . .

^The guy hasn't even been in office for a month....
I have no issue judging a president on their job performance, but I have absolutely no idea how he will do over the next 4 years. None. No one does. If someone chooses to condemn him now, that's their choice, but it's not mine. I'm not the least bit surprised that people want him to fail. If you don't agree with him or his policies, and you didn't vote for him, then of course he would fail you.
Sure, I'm upset about the chaos, but I understand that change is sometimes difficult (and chaotic). I also understand that the media machine is at it again :nono:

But I don't entirely understand how many conservatives aren't judging him for the cluster f*ck that has been the past week. He's already violated the constitution and overstepped his power. I'm not judging him on how he "might" do, I'm judging him on how he's currently doing. Which is absolutely horribly.

Re: Twitter Filling Up with Trump Supporters Who Regret . .

And like I said, if you choose to condemn him now, then that's your prerogative.

Re: Twitter Filling Up with Trump Supporters Who Regret . .

I don't think that is true at all most of the white supremacists and scared white people that want to take back their country under the more palatable guise of "nationalism" love the man, they agree with his nutball (racist, sexist, homophobic, paternalistic) policies, just look how the conservatives jump to his defence on here. For every one anti Trump meme or article they come up with 3 more defending him or saying how we are just as bad.... Until he creates another global financial crisis, enters a controversial war or does something unconstitutional enough that he gets impeached then and only then his loyal followers might admit he's in it for himself and not for them.... and even then, they will still be glad they didn't vote for Hillary.....

Better try harder b/c the Dems. are losing seats for the past 3 elections...

Re: Twitter Filling Up with Trump Supporters Who Regret . .

If anything, Trump supporters are gratified that he is implementing everything that he promised on the campaign trail.

We have had so many past Presidents who promise one thing to get elected, and never follow through on it.

At least they admit their folly, rather than the fan girls and and boys who defend his atrocities at every turn yet still expect people to believe they didn't vote for him. Because yup, sure. That definitely happened.

+1000.

Has a single member confessed to voting for this Commander In Cheetoooo?

Before the election Hey Joe said he would, but he's vanished.

After reading what people write here for 12 years there are a few I'm certain voted for Trump, but they are silent about it.

I've never been ashamed to say for whom I voted, and don't mind criticism of same.

My dog would be doing a better job than our current elected official. All she would have to do is listen to the humans around her who know the actual rules, which (it turns out), she already does! hooray! The bar is so tragically low.

Three, two, one.... No watch them all come out saying "I've said all along that I didn't vote for him" as they defend him on everything he does.

Re: Twitter Filling Up with Trump Supporters Who Regret . .

I have an inner dialogue that responds every time I read "I personally didn't vote for him..."

SURE YOU DID

"While I didn't vote for him I don't want him to fail..."

I'M SURE YOU DON'T. BECAUSE YOU VOTED FOR HIM.

"I left that part blank..."

UH HUH. COOL STORY!

"As I've said before, I didn't vote for Trump..."

YOU ABSOLUTELY DID.

Go back into my posts to the day of or after the election.

I stated that I left it blank.

If I had voted for him and he won wouldn't I have admitted it?
