Hi, I am looking at a stone with 3 twining wisps on the table. It is GIA SI1. What are twining wisps and how do they affect clarity?

try a search for "twinning wisps" and you will find some useful information.

Twinning wisps are usually a long, wispy trail of very small inclusions which can often be eyeclean, hence the SI1 grading.

They are internally enclosed benign inclusions with usually no effect on the durability of the diamond.

If GIA gave it an SI1, the diamond is probably quite nice looking clarity wise.
