Turnaround time?

First time poster here so let me know if this question should be on some other forum. My boyfriend just purchased a cushion cut diamond for me in the NYC diamond district. (yay!) The vendor is supposed to be finding someone to set it, but my boyfriend won''t give me any more details. It will probably be a micropave, legacy-type setting. Any thoughts on how long getting it set might take? I am dying of anticipation here! Thanks!

Depends entirely on the benchman and whether it''s a custom setting. I''d say 4-6 weeks to be on the safe side, but it could be sooner if it isn''t custom.

Well the setting process itself doesn''t usually take long, what could take extra time is sourcing the setting or if he is having it custom made - try to enjoy the anticipation ( hard I know but I bet it will be worth waiting for!)
