Dark!

(Dark meat is darker in color due to having extra ribosomes- energy producing organelles in the muscle. It is fattier so it can provide nutrients to the extra ribosomes as necessary. This makes the meat delicious and and more flavourful. Wlid birds and those that are raised in large spaces contain much more dark meat because they use their muscles more and thus have more ribosomes.)

I much prefer dark, for the same reason as I can''t stand chicken - the white meat to me is both tasteless and textureless! FI is the total opposite - loves chicken, won''t touch dark turkey meat.

When I am heaping it onto my plate I like dark meat. When I am making those oh so yummy leftover sandwiches I prefer the white meat. I am getting so excited for those sandwiches.

As far as skin goes...I wont eat it. No skin, no turkey or chicken. I don''t even like fried chicken because of the skin. This works because DH loves the skin. Match made in heaven.

Bingo! Drumstick for me! I do like the white for sandwiches though.

I could stand over a fresh hot turkey and pick at it until my little heart was content. I love eating out of pots! And I love the skin! Mmm.... can''t wait til Thurs!

Dark all the way!
