Tungsten wedding rings

I''ve been pricing these at the local jewelry stores (mens wedding band). At your typical Canadian retailer, like ''Charm'' or ''Crescent'', they seem to be priced around $300.
Last night I went in to Birks, which is a higher end store. They had one and it was priced at $950. It is possible that the finish might have been a bit nicer, hard to tell. But what accounts for the huge difference in price??

i don''t know much about tungsten or what goes into pricing but i would guess it is workmanship and materials. maybe they are different components of tungsten (alloy vs. carbide)? you could always ask the different shops to find out what their explanation is.
