tungsten engagement rings

forgive me please, i am new. i see tungsten has a lot of great attributes but i dont see it as an engagement ring. is it too brittle to hold stones? for my line of work i would like a tungsten wedding ring for its durability, scratch resistance,hardness, and high melting point. if i can''t (as it seems so far) have an engagement ring set in tungsten, what metals go with tungsten best for an engagement +wedding ring? i dont want it to not match! thx! also, probably the wrong area to post but my gf wears only earrings. no rings so how do i size her finger?? i realize some of these metals are not able to be resized! thx! i really appreciate the help.
