Ponder,

Thank you for elaborating. I had read about blood clotting issues being possible causes of m/c. I''m also having my estrogen and progesterone monitored and have been taking progesterone (well now, HCG to promote production of progesterone) as I have had lower levels in the past as well.

Thank goodness you have a good doctor looking after you! I hope your u/s went well.

My ultrasound went well, 128 bpm!

I want to encourage everyone to be proactive after m/c, especially if its not your first. Having a MD that is supportive and understanding is essential.

I love my obgyn, but he does not regularly provide the level of care for my specific needs at the begining of my pregnancies. So he refered me to an RE. My RE closely monitors and scruitinizes my early pregnancies with weekly appts, ultrasounds, and blood work. Such close monitoring allowed her to identify and treat my needs before they could result in another miscarriage.

Weekly appts also help to keep you sane

I am convinced that without my RE I would still be childless. RE''s can be difficult to locate (there aren''t that many) and it gets expensive, but if you experience recurrent m/c or you are having difficulty conceiving an RE should really be consulted.
