Hi ladies! We've just returned from our honeymoon to beautiful Charleston, SC and have a handful of non-pro pictures of our August 28th wedding to share.
It was really, truly a great party. I had so much fun, and from the stories that are filtering back, I think everybody else did as well! It was also an extremely emotional day for me. Two days prior to the wedding, my sister and I lost our most beloved grandmother to a sudden heart attack. She was active and in excellent health, with no prior history of heart trouble, so it was a huge shock to us all. She was truly a cornerstone of our family and we talked about canceling some of the festivities planned for the weekend but decided in the end that Grandma, who hated being the reason for any sort of fuss, would not have wanted that for the world and we went through with everything we had planned. We all loved her very much and one of my fondest memories will always be her trying gamely to teach my rhythm-impaired husband how to do a foxtrot the weekend before the wedding, so we wouldn't totally whiff it on the dance floor for our first dance.
Without further ado, here are the pics:
Bridesmaid and bride shoe shots - if any of you remember my shoe dithering, I did break down and get the custom ones done from Nina, in rose pink satin uppers and blue leather soles. The pro pictures will have many more shoe shots I'm sure, since the first thing the second photographer did when he arrived was hijack my shoes and not return them for 15 minutes!
Dress shot! Hanging up before I unpinned it from the cardboard form and discovered it needed a very quick ironing to take out some wrinkles - yay for last minute! In the background is Bridesmaid Station Alpha - Hair and Makeup.
