Tsavorite lotus

BeBe''s back home! And she''s lovely! The tsav is a lush, velvety green...so dreamy. I just love this ring to death, and it''s so elegant and regal in the two tone lotus. If I had to meet the queen tomorrow, I''d wear this ring!

Unfortunately, the sun is down, so these pics are all taken indoors in yellowish light. I will take some tomorrow in the morning, but here are some for now just because I can''t hold in the excitement and want to share!

Stone info: Barry Bridgestock .9ct tsavorite from the original Taita hills deposit in Kenya.
Setting info: 18k yg lotus head, silver shank, rhodium dipped.

I was going to stack my lotuses, but it doesn't look good since the pad is so pastel, it kind of get washes out next to the super saturated tsav. Oh well.

ETA: I swear, I can never ever get the color on that pad right!!

Now I am blushing. But really, you found a beautiful stone and finding a setting that brought out the beauty of it without making it too dark was a challenge, but you did a great job.

It's so beautiful MTG. I just love the 'in real life perspective' photo of it. The green is just glowing! gah I love it!

MTG, beautiful tsav with a deep color and I wouldn''t give a second thought to others "passing" on that stone. You know it happens, for awhile everyone was buying pink tourmalines, then there was a rush on spinels, etc.

It looks fantastic on you and if you want to feel better about your fingers, grab a look at some of the hand model shots on LOGR/ebay, LOL, it''ll put that in perspective for you.

I thought the same thing when I bought my tsav from Barbara a year prior (during the annual sale too!). It caught my eye the minute I saw it. Than a couple minutes later, I saw the stone that you now have. At the time, they were photographed right next too each other on the website. I remember wondering why they were just sitting there during a sale. After having some discussion with her, I decided to get the stone I saw and liked first. I am so excited to see your stone set and looking so pretty.

I have learned that the time a stone has been sitting online has nothing to do with how beautiful it is. It is all about the right buyer finding the right stone.

Maybe if we are ever in the same area, we can do a GTG and have a tsav reunion. I know, kind of dorky, but I couldn't help myself.

Haha Ltl! I tsav renunion would be grand, I'm sure if we sent Barry pics of that, he'd be just tickled!

What area do you live in again? If I ever rotate or interview at a hospital near you, I"ll definitely let you know! Or if you're ever in Philly!

And you're totally right about stones just needing the right buyer, the tanzanite I bought from Gene had been there awhile too, but when I got it in the mail, it blew me away on sight! I'm learning to trust my instincts more when it comes to gem hunting
