Another novelty: 'Fearless trendsetter Louis Vuitton' presents 16 carat tsavorite.

The image shows only a weak colour (perhaps more Merelani than Tsavo) but I assume it is the loss in print.

Also, from the International New York Times:

Very, very beautiful. Even if you don't favor the quality of the stone, the designs coming out of the big luxury houses are fantastic and will no doubt feed many, many "inspired" creations.

Ed, my first thought was "oh crap." Everybody on earth will be wanting them; they'll become a cool thing -- and the prices extremely HOT. ;( Oh crap again!

This was an ad in a local luxury lifestyle /socialite magazine a year ago too.. More tsavorite...

The price of good tsavorite has been increasing and like Laurie, my first thought is, this is going to cause another price increase. :cheeky:

Tsavorite has been mainstream for a long time now with many high end jewelers. This is not surprising or new.

You like it course the dominant color of the picture is gray - except the greenish something... :D

Marlow... you are most probably right...I live in a world of gray...:)

Stay tuned--- your little spinel should arrive soon!

But Merelani Mint and gray diamond would be a cool combination....

Interesting.... I will have to look into that...:)

Like the stunning LV cuff, I'm hoping to do something dark and little edgy with my gray...

This LV piece is beautiful!! Think it is a Merelani Mint - size WOW!

Your spinel with a bit purple would be great with mint green too.

I'm liking the sound of that... I'll post pics when it arrives. Thanks for your insight-- I appreciate it, always!

Hi,

I love the tsavorite cuff . While TL is right in that it has been pretty mainstream for a number years the supply of this stone is small. I remember when a 2 ct stone was considered large and then a new deposit opened up and we saw larger stones emerging. When its called Merilani Mint, isn't that just marketing a less saturated tsavo? Its one of my favorite stones, I already have 4 different ones, but 2.12 is the largest, but I love the color.

I hope it gains in popularity, its a beautiful srone. Annette

That Dior ad is amazing! :naughty:

Would be a nice napkin ring too.

Nice, thanks for sharing.
