Trump reveals highly classified info to Russians in mtg.

So you have no problem or issues with Trumps latest screw up Red?

I have no opinion because there are completely conflicting reports on what happened.

One more time, for funsies!

Trump will be videotaped literally entering the nuclear codes and his supporters will say "but there are conflicting reports" on who started WWIII.

Oh don't worry, NO conservatives here voted for him :liar: :liar: :liar:

Yes her emails. She had classified information on a server that she should not have had. It was proven by the FBI. Not quite the same as unnamed sources who were not in the room spouting that something happened. I don't know how anyone can equate the two at this point with people who were in the room refuting it. But I am sure we will need a special prosecutor for this one, but it was determined that we did not need one for Clinton's transgressions.

Didn't someone say they had better things to do? ;)
I can speak to you because you can have a conversation without flinging obscenities. ;)

Did you watch McMaster's briefing? It was damage control. Apparently, what Trump shared was "wholly appropriate" and yet, the fact that all of this leaked was the 'real threat' to national security. Huh? And the finishing excuse was that 'the president hadn't even been briefed on the source of the info.' That's supposed to be better? He was asked point blank several times if classified info had been shared, and McMaster wouldn't deny.

Maybe they know his supporters find his incompetence endearing, so that's the path they chose.

We shall see. I would like to know the unnamed sources that are current employees for sure.

I know you disagree, but the point being made about HRC's emails is that there have been breaches on all parts/parties' accounts. Same stuff, different people. People who voted for HRC thought she was the better candidate despite any security issues. Obviously it didn't look good for her. But to elect an orange buffoon BECAUSE of her email b.s. was just cutting off one's nose to spite one's face. I don't recall anyone ever saying Hillary Clinton was perfect. But I darn well know that the person we have in the WH now is grossly incompetent.

I'm not sure what's left to see, here. Twice in one week, the WH has put out damage control and within hours, the president has come out and completely contradicted it. What baffles me is WHY men and women who've have had otherwise upstanding records continue to throw themselves under a bus for him. From the beginning, they've shown they can't be trusted- starting with crowd size, for f*ck's sake. Their credibility is beyond ruined. I'd trust the WaPo or NYT's background info any day over this administration.

I'd trust a 5 year old over this admin.

I didn't bring up the emails or Clinton. Others did with the baiting tactics.

Snip:

Erickson knows one of the sources and supports their decision to go to the media, he wrote Tuesday in a blog post for his website, The Resurgent.

“This is a real problem and I treat this story very seriously because I know just how credible, competent, and serious — as well as seriously pro-Trump, at least one of the sources is,” Erickson wrote.

“You can call these sources disloyal, traitors, or whatever you want,” he added. “But please ask yourself a question — if the President, through inexperience and ignorance, is jeopardizing our national security and will not take advice or corrective action, what other means are available to get the President to listen and recognize the error of his ways?”

"The President does not seem to realize or appreciate that his bragging can undermine relationships with our allies and with human intelligence sources".

Erickson wrote that people close to the president find him too insecure to take constructive criticism as anything other than a personal attack. So sources have gone to the media in the hopes that “the intense blowback” may force Trump to recognize his errors.

Not saying I can remember everything anyone has posted here, but Red seems consistent in her views. Some just want an ugly fight, it appears to me.
McMaster and others who were actually in the meeting said nothing inappropriate happened. McMaster is highly respected, but so was Comey before last summer, so we shall see.
The inconsistency here is those who had no concern regarding HRC endangering national security but are now all concerned about what Trump might have done.
Few conservatives posting here actually voted for Trump, unlike myself. I've never denied my vote and have explained it more than once. Just as many voted for HRC, in spite of her flaws, because they agree with her on the issues, conservatives voted on the issues, also, in spite of Trump's flaws.
Would like to see the leaker(s) in the WH gone. Why contact WaPo, rather than the congressional national security committee? Seems like that's what a patriot would do if the President did something wrong.

I read something this morning, can't remember the source now, that stated that Trump's own staff is responsible for a lot of the leaks that Trump is furious about. They allegedly leak info because of Trump's inability to take even constructive advice as anything but an insult to his intelligence and authority due to his crippling insecurity. These staff members say they leak the info in an effort to get press attention that may derail stupid decisions from the prez. They do not feel confident that anyone in the Congress or Senate is willing to do anything about him at this point.

M, IF true, that doesn't excuse playing around with national security.

M, IF true, that doesn't excuse playing around with national security.

Tell that to the President. And watch the CNN video I posted above. The media had but didn't report on the classified info Trump spilled to the Russian ambassador.

It does if it means saving the country from the prez, imo. I see those leakers as patriots -- putting country above the prez, which is what I would expect from a patriot. I know that it's a slippery slope but I believe the prez to be an imminent danger to this country and the more that is done to subvert the crazy moron, the better.

Folks, no personal attacks or you will be on a long time out. One and only warning in this thread.

And CNN/NYT put out the source of the intelligence for all the world to see.

Let me get this straight...

If Hillary Clinton had composed an email to Russia that contained sensitive, classified intelligence given to us from Israel and intentionally sent it, you're telling me we should be pissed at the software used to send the email?

Because that's what people are doing when they are concentrating on the leaks.

You know darned well what Trump did in that meeting was completely unacceptable. Any attempt to deflect or justify is disgusting.

You can put the story out without further damaging the intelligence from our allies. Releasing the name of the ally is irresponsible.

And I never defended Trump on this issue.
