He is so cute. I love the show and can''t wait for it to start anyway and now he is going to be in it.

I have not read the books, really don''t think I would like them after seeing the show and hearing what you guy say. What kind of character is he and why is he relevant?

Eric is cute in a disgusting sort of way, but his new fellow. mmmmm I hope they don''t ugly him up so that he fits in with the rest of the cast. If you think about it none of the characters on the show are knock you down good looking.
He is warm-blooded... he''ll stay yummy for sure!

+1 (I hope!)

I dunno, I''m still a bigger fan of the books than the show, though I love the show as well. Strangely, it doesn''t bother me as much to see some of my favorite scenes or storylines removed from the books (it bugs me like nothing other with other things - like Harry Potter. I can barely watch the movies because it annoys me so much). Probably because there''s just so much more creative license with TB that it''s easy to divorce the books from the show in my mind.

Oh, apparently Eric gets a love interest this season - she''s going to be a dancer at Fangtasia.

The books are very different from the show. Love both, but the characters and story lines stray in True Blood. I love Layfayette, hope he stays- Anyone see Eric in General Kill on HBO?- he was amazing- .

Oh I just discovered this thread! I love True Blood!!! After the first season I read all of the books. As others have stated they vary quite a bit from the HBO series, but I enjoy both the reading and the watching. I was pleased to learn here that Alcide will be one of the characters in the new season and it looks like he will be fine eye candy. My favorite will always be Eric though.
