This is kind of fun. The diamond is teeny, like .10, but the glass above it magnifies it so when you look straight down onto it, the diamond appears much larger.

One might even consider it a commentary on the fact that many people desire gigantic diamonds - so much so that they do all sorts of things to make them look much bigger than they are.

I bet that diamond needs to be flawless, or the magnification would make every flaw stand out.

If I was going to make a fun arty ring, I would put a teeny tiny lcd light UNDERNEATH a stone in a setting. Depending on how the stone was cut, would throw off colored light.

I always think of this when I see overly saturated stones that look almost black (except when you shine a light through them). It would be a setting could finally use those kind of stones!

I think this is adorable! Thanks for sharing. It reminds me of this as the art commentary concept. Although the magnifying glass is much prettier in my book.
