trellis setting without horizontal bar?

My sister is getting engaged soon and she wants a trellis setting without a horizontal bar. I searched and came across this thread from a long time ago:

Does anyone know if it's out there? I did find this scott kay setting on pearlman's website:

Ideally it needs to be in yellow gold (which can be done with scott kay) but I'm wondering if there are any other options out there. Thanks.

Check out this site http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/ and also http://www.adwar.com/(its a casting company, but you can have a local jeweler order for you or make custom) Also check out scottkay.com directly they have more rings, but can be ordered through pearlmans if you have the item number. I''ve seen plenty of trellis setting out there without the cross bar, so its doable and if you want custom Whiteflash is a good place to go to and reasonable.

I have that Scott Kay setting, but with double prongs. It is knife edge, so make sure that''s the style they are looking for.

I checked out both sites and couldn''t find anything. I saw some other scott kay settings but they''re out of her budget and I know she wants a thin tapered setting. Basically a petite trellis but without that cross bar. Any other ideas?

funny you mention that d&t... isn''t there a horizontal cross bar in that setting? I''ve been talking to a representative at whiteflash about whether that can be made without the cross bar and in yellow gold though. thanks for your help.

hmm, I don''t see a horizontal cross bar. Let me find you a ring that looks like it from one our color stoner gal... be right back.. This is one of my favorite ring, that I also contemplated too... do you like something like the royal crown 6 prongs? you can probably get that one for less "like" it from a local jeweler if they ordered it through uniquesettings.com

eta: lol... yes, there is no cross bar on that WF version, if you can go through them, I would definitely get it from them, yes, they can make it in yellow gold as I have asked before as well, but it will be solid yellow gold including prongs as it is cast as one piece. hope that helps
