travel insurance

hi does anyone know any good travel insurance that would cover jewelry? my regular renter''s insurance doesn''t cover jewelry when traveling aboard. if i get special jewelry insurance, the premium is much higher. so now i am wondering if i can just get renter''s insurance plus travel insurance when i am out of the country. thanks for any information

Do you mean specifically while traveling on the airplane?

I just purchased my travel insurance and searched through a pretty extensive collection, not once did I see jewelry mentioned specifically. Though I did see up to 5k luggage protection, that wouldn't do much to protect your ring. You might want to call the airline or airport that you are traveling with. You can buy special shipment packages at the airport and you can pay for third luggage, etc, it might be possible that they have something available for jewelry if you check it in and fill out certain paperwork or what have you. Probably not, but it might be worth a call.

I have my ring listed on my home insurance. It covers me at home and abroad. Not sure if this helps
