Hello Everyone,

My apologies if this post is not in the correct forum. I tried to post in FAQ but was told I wasn''t authorized.

Here is my question.

I picked out my diamond wedding band 2 yrs ago from Rodgers & Holland. Its a wide white gold band that has 3 rows of invisable princess cut diamonds(33 diamonds). Total weight 1 ct. HI SI
Cost $1549.00

This has become the a very uncomfortable ring. Its wide, thick and heavy and I find myself taking it off alot.

I''m interested in trading up. I went to a popular jeweler and they offered me $500.00 toward the purchase of one of their rings.

At Rodgers, they offered me the amount I paid plus 10%, as long as I purcahsed a ring for at least $3200.00, which I''m prepared to do.

Has anyone else done this? Is there a better way to trade up?

Thanking you in advance,
Bridget

Sounds like a deal made in Haven.

It is rare enough to get the full value of purchase taken into account, and the seller is probably the only ready to do this anyway. Better would mean that they would require a purchase of less value. Otherwise, it is unusual to get youe money back selling it, esp. that this one cannot be sized.

I hope someone adds a more optimistic version...
