I am on the hunt to find & buy some totes for the kids for when we move into the new house in a couple weeks. I am thinking - for each kid - one tote for laundry and one smaller tote for bathroom stuff, as the three of them will be sharing a bathroom, and we have already level-set expectations that they will need to take their own stuff in & out each time for baths so the bathroom doesn’t become a cluttered mess and cause fights. Also, the laundry room in our new house is downstairs (vs upstairs now) so I want them to have their own baskets to organize their stuff post-wash so they can carry it up & put away when done.

I figure if I can make it cute/fun for them (moreso the younger two) they will be more inclined to use them. The ages are: G-19, B-10, G-8. Ability to monogram would be a bonus! And I am hoping to find something for each of them all in one place.

I know about Thirty-One, but are there any other similar places/companies I can check out (besides Etsy)? The younger girl is a ‘girly-girl’ so pink, purple, etc. The boy is a typical boy into football/sports, etc. but he’s not into ‘cheesy’ boy-sports decor so may need something more ‘manly-boy’-ish. The oldest is easy so I am least worried about finding something for her; it’s finding something for all THREE in one place I am struggling with. Worst case, I will get the oldest’s separately, but really wanted to try and have it all be similar/from the same place so there isn’t any fussing about who got what (you parents will get it!)

Budget is =/< $100/each if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions! :wavey:

Stalk your local tjmaxx marshalls and homegoods. They can inspire and surprise you!

Homegoods is a great idea!

My kids all had plastic laundry baskets in different colors, so I'm not gonna be much help!

I normally love both of those places, but finding time to go to any store right now will be a challenge (much less a couple), so I am kinda limited to ordering something online & having it shipped really.

I found a couple of options on the Container Store’s website that might work, albeit not personalizeable. But was hoping for more options if anyone has seen or knows of anything online.

How about a personalized tote from LL Bean or Land's End? You can choose the color of the bag, straps, bottom etc as well as monogram it. They also have camouflage / more boyish options. I have a boat and tote from LL Bean and that thing is virtually indestructible. As an added bonus my cat likes to use it to play hide and seek, lol. Multi functioning tote!

@Alexiszoe That’s a great idea, and I like that it’s personable with color selections as well. I’m just not sure how well folded laundry would stay ‘folded’ in something like that.

For the laundry, I was thinking something like this that is more ‘structured’: https://www.mythirtyone.com/product/3121 but was hoping to find more options than the limited colors/patterns offered by 31. The only reason I’m thinking about something like this is because it’s more versatile than a typical laundry basket, in that if we decided to go on a road trip or something, they can also use it to carry their ‘loose’ stuff in for the car ride (think iPads, books, stuffed animal, etc.) or it can be used for organizing other stuff in their room, carrying their toys/stuff from downstairs to the upstairs, etc. But for now, it would primarily be used for their clothes after they’re washed; the younger ones will have a ‘community’ hamper to put dirty stuff in; the oldest does her own laundry.

For their bath/shower stuff, I found these from the Container Store: https://www.containerstore.com/s/ba...flexible-shower-basket/12d?productId=10028018 and they will work great I think. They have enough color options for all three kids.
