total newb - question about buying online

I''ve read through most of the faqs, and have a pretty good idea of what I''m going to start looking for, but I have a question about the prices from whiteflash, etc. Are these firm prices, or is there some "haggling" when buying online? It looks like a lot of these sites email you quotes, sounds like that is leaving room for or even expecting some negotiation. Is this the case?

I don''t believe you''ll find much haggling going on. You get a discount for paying with a wire transfer. Of course, you''d have to ask the specific vendor your are interested in working with.
