I don't believe I ever saw hail until I moved from Connecticut (a northeastern US state) to Virginia (a southern state). I had also never seen signs posted warning of tornadoes.The first time I drove on hail felt funny to me. All my driving on ice in its various forms was always done in winter. I never experienced really large hail.

I am sorry about TR's truck.
