Because the community here knows everything about everything, I am asking your help. :)

I am looking for budget/low pricing for the blinds described in the subject line above.
I have one big bay window that has suffered from producing theater like silhouettes when people are in the room where it's located. So I am looking for any deals or good pricing on top down bottom up cellular room darkening shades that would allow us to eliminate the puppet like theater that has lightening choices has created in the past!

Any thoughts or helps re: vendors/deals/etc. is very much appreciated.

I used Costco. I love the vendors they deal with.give them a call for an estimate.

I was hoping you would respond! Did you get the estimate from costco directly? Or did you ask for vendors from them and then deal with their vendors?

Thank you!!!:)

I think they contract with a vendor per region. I called Costco and gave them general information. The vendor then called to schedule a consultation. This is free. They took a look at the windows and made suggestions and gave a price quote. What I like is that the price is the price. No haggling or jerking around because these are what's set with Costco. In my case I lose a lot of heat through my windows so we went with the double cell. IIRC the single and double cell cost the same.

Here's what mine look like. Mine are not black out. They are taupe. I wanted to leave the windows as is bc I love the frame but I was losing too much heat out of them. I like that these up down blinds can be rather discreet and I can lower them to partially hide them from sight if I keep them below the table top's height.

My brother & his wife used Blinds.com for purchasing Bali's DiamondCell top-down/bottom up , light-filtering shades & were very pleased with the price & speedy delivery; color samples they first asked for came really quickly too. Blinds.com's own brand are even cheaper.

Any place in your town that sells blinds will have a range of prices. I had top down/bottom up blackouts installed in 3 rooms and the rest of the house just bottom up, a total of 10 windows for $2100 including installation costs and disposal of old shades. I bought the cheapest they had because I wasn't sure if the cats would destroy them. Blackouts will cost more than non blackout shades.

I think you chose a really nice looking solution. I find the long windows and the tones in the room you showed very appealing. Thank you for the suggestion! I am going to call costco this week and see what's what. The house I am helping with had to be rebuilt partially due to the nastiness of a few winters ago and some damage, good news is a redo. The living room I want the full black out so as to not stage the theater. I am going to give a look around, and see what they can ballpark at.

Thank you for the recommendation, I'm going to call them as well and see what options look like. I'm trying to help gather estimates and prices for overwhelmed family, so I appreciate the referral especially if your family used them!

Fair point on the wear and tear. I know we need black outs in a few of the rooms for sure due to the layout of the stress and how visible it makes the inside of the house. I like the range you are talking. I think at most we definitely need blackouts in the bathroom and bay window of our living room due to street view, beyond that I think we can be more negotiable. I think we will probably due the same re: cheapest solution as long as it gets the job done.

Thanks for the input!

Just a word of caution on cellular shades. I had them for a while. They are dust magnets. Builds up really fast. Just sayin' I like it when you can release them from the top and keep the bottom covered, KWIM? So you get light without giving up privacy.

I have black out curtains. Pricier but worth it because I need dark to sleep. Not everyone does.
