If folks are looking for a tool to help see your stones, jewelry projects (and hand crafts), I saw this product at a craft show. I was amazed at how well they work. The light kit adds expense, but it is also amazing. They are comfortable to wear and not really all that heavy. I felt like I could see like I was 10 again! You tell them your regular prescription and they make the glasses to match your needs (getting the RX updated is under $80 USD). They don't clip to your classes, they are integrated into their glasses. The optics on these are on par with my swarovski scope at work.

Folks in the trade, these are worth looking at. My grandmother would have loved these. No more hunching over on the bench to see what you are doing. I found these more comfortable that the magnifying visor and you can sit further from the object and still see it. You can flip the optics out of the way. They did not have a scope handy, but I'm pretty sure you could flip up the optics and still use a scope. But, you'd have to try.
