Too many lines?

We are in the process of choosing a suit for my beloved for our destination wedding in Puerto Rico in October. The criteria is that the material is light, preferably a lighter color. We found this one on Saturday that we both liked, but when I showed it to a friend of mine who went dress shopping with me, her first reaction was that it would clash with my dress because it has strips going down while my dress has tiers going across. She thinks it will be too busy.

What do you think? I''m posting pictures of my dress and his suit below.

I think they look great together too. May I ask where you found the suit, and if it''s linen? We''re looking for something similar.

Selkie, we live in the DC area and found the suit at a designer's store in the area, his name is Everett Hall.

It's not linen, it's a very light wool.

It costs a lot more money that we were hoping to pay but it's the only one that has come close to what we envisioned.
