Too good to be true? 3 Ct Columbian emerald for $3k?

Hi all, I’m feeling an itch I’m fighting not to scratch. I came across a supposedly 3ct emerald ring from an Etsy seller in Italy, with a local report in Italian stating the emerald to be Colombian which I have no way of knowing if it’s reliable or not. If some of you experts have the time, can you take a look (I’ve cut/pasted photos below hoping to save folks the time of clicking on a link but there’s a video on the listing too that I can’t figure out how to include here).

Price seems low to me, no?

Without a reputable lab report, I would pass. It also has an enormous window.

Too good to be true. It’s looks to be all window and looks like a tourmaline. It’s also too expensive to chance on it imo

@T L and @whitewave Thank you both for your wisdom and honest advice! Yeah, I’m not sure I want to take the plunge. A few months ago I bought a supposedly emerald ring off eBay that turned out to be quenched quartz, so not eager to relive the heartache/headache.

The seller wrote back to my inquiry and insists it’s not enhanced (not sure what that means to be honest. I asked re clarity enhancement). Makes me even more wary that a supposedly untreated emerald is found for 3k (those go for more like 30k and up IMHO).

I can see why you would be drawn to the color in the stone, but something seems off. The ‘jardin’ should be more prominent for 3k, perhaps? I’m not sure.

But the diamonds don’t look right either. I would keep looking. I’m sure there is a better emerald out there for you <3

I agree, it’s like I want to believe it but my sixth sense says something’s off. Will pass and keep saving towards my goal!

it is a pretty colour though

It looks like your piece is the only "fine gem" they are selling -- lots of melee pieces and random decorative stuff. Not even a good liar if they say that it is unenhanced.The table facet is almost edge to edge.
