Dress- $500
Shoes $500, but never again... I am cheap when it comes to shoes. Shoes just aren''t my thing, LOL.

it was worth every penny. I felt like a bride, it was perfect.
I''d have bet ya that 5K that you''d have ''felt like a bride'' in almost any dress that day!

Just a money saving tip for others looking in ...

Agreed! I feel exceptionally bridal in my 600 dollar sample gown.

Hey, I felt like a happy bride in my $50 dress that came crumpled up and dirty in a fed ex box.

For Isaku 5: Here''s a picture of the Bleu de Prusse Birkin:

Handbag-Botkier $600
Wedding dress-Vera Wang $3000
Shoes-Loeffler Randall $450

Damn I'm cheap!

Handbag: ummm... actual daily use purse, well under $100, I trash them, so I usually go for the $20 Target variety. And that way if I lose the cap to a lipstick or douse it with perfume, it's no big. I did spend $200ish on an art nouveau antique sterling dance purse, but it's definitely not a daily use item!

Shoes: $350 for my favorite Fluevog boots. However, again, well under $100 is my typical shoe purchase. I have three pairs of the identical Fluevog boots though- they d/c'd them, so I stocked up. Expensive nice heels? Oh hell no. I am such a disaster in heels!

Dress: Hmm. My wedding dress was $80, a designer dress marked down from $800 that I got at Nordstrom's Rack. That's probably it. I doubt I've spent more than $80 on a dress, but I have bought a few for around that price.

Jewelry and antiques (and antique jewelry!) are *definitely* my spending weakness.

Handbag - Chanel $1600
Dress - $800 - Mother of the Groom dress
Shoes - $100 - Cole Haan

Hey, ease up on her. She paid for that dress... it''s her money. And it''s her wedding day. You''re entitled to live it up on that one day.

Btw, I love the look of heels on a woman. But I''d like to know if a pair of Manolos or Jimmy Choos are 10x more comfortable than your average $100 pair?

OH! That''s definitely a beauty as is the one behind it.
30.gif

At that price, though, they must be limited editions??

Handbag.... probably $40.
Dress: Wedding dress was $450 after alterations.
Shoes: $60

If I had it, I'd spend more, but I don't so I won't.

Someday...

Hi, Isaku! Those aren''t limited editions. The black one is readily available at most Hermes stores, and the blue one can be easily ordered.

*swoon* the blue is gorgeous
30.gif

Handbag: around 250.00, I still waiting for my loui vitton
31.gif

Dress: 1200.00 wedding dress
Shoes: 250.00 boots

9.gif

Handbag: about $780.00 for my LV in 2005
Dress: I think my wedding gown was around $1000 after the alterations
Shoes: not totally sure but I paid around $78.00 for a pair of Gaynor Minden pointe shoes when I danced

I love handbags and have several Coach bags, I''m not totally into clothes and it''s hard for me to find any shoe, much less an expensive one since I wear a size 5. I''m usually stuck at Payless in the kids department

For a handbag $400.00 and never again.

For a suit if that counts, a little over $500.00, but that was for my daughters wedding, in 1995.

Handbag: $150
Dress: Wedding dress is $1500. For normal dresses, probably $150.
Shoes: $200 (boots)

Seems like my price cap of $150-200 is standard across everything I buy.

if you wore the gown for 8 hrs on your wedding day = $625 per hr.
23.gif

And it was worth every penny. I felt like a bride, it was perfect. My dress is also right around 5% of the entire cost of my wedding, which is really reasonable.

Here is what I know about life: sometimes you have to look at the item, not the price tag.

So your wedding cost 100,000.00

, I want to see some wed pics

and i thought my nephew''s 35k wedding was expensive.

Apparently if you can afford it, you''re entitled to live it up every day.

I buy my purses at like, Target or Kmart. Tho I''ve gotten some pretty diaper bag/totes off ebay for hauling the kids'' stuff for about $40.

Dress..mom bought both my wedding dresses (on sale), and with alterations, she prolly spent $500 for the both. Myself, I''ve got several bridesmaids dresses..so I''ll say $150 at the absolute most.

Shoes..$50 for tennies I guess. I need to buy snow boots this winter, so that might run me a little more-does that count?

I spent $70 on a pair of Lucky jeans a couple times..made my hands shake, but I made it through the transactions.

The new ring I''m working on will be by far, not counting the house or my truck, be the most money I''ve ever spent on myself in my entire life, and I figure it will run less than $2000. Even that is enough to make me have second thoughts. (haha, I''ve got a quote in my email from Leon on a 3 stone that I haven''t looked at yet..so THAT might make me run screaming from the room!)

Madam Bijoux, this might be a dumb question..but do you use that blue purse? I think after spending that $ on it, I''d freak out if anyone came near it. It''s so pretty!

handbag - Dooney 300
dress - 150
shoes - 100 for running shoes

Hi, Packrat! I use the blue purse when I go to concerts or plays, which is often. I make sure to keep it out of harm''s way.

Madam Bijoux, I am greeeeennnn with envy!!! I feel guilty when I buy a $3000 LV bag

I guess the only limit is having the $$$ to pay for them - same with my ragtop Jag

I feel spoiled and kinda of bad...

Bag: 900, LV, hoping to get the Chanel Large Shopper from FI for my b-day

7.gif

Shoes: no idea, probably 200 or less, I am not a huge shoe person. I do love me some bags though

handbag: $1800 Prada (and relieved I''m not the only one who has spent major money on a bag)
Dress: $1500 wedding dress 11 years ago
shoes: $200

purse: 990 (dior)

dress: 3500 (bff''s wedding..i was MOH of course and bff chipped in
2.gif
)

3.gif
)

Madame Bijioux- wooooow *drooool*...my life mission= aquire Hermes bag!

Handbag: $150.00 on sale; it was originally $220.00. I don''t know the name brand but it''s the purse I grab 90% of the time when I walk out the door and has been for 4 years.
Dress: $1000.00 for my wedding dresss + $500.00 in alterations.
Shoes: $160.00 boots on sale too. They were my big treat when I finished losing weight about 7 years ago. I don''t wear them anymore but they are still in my closet as I love the memory.

There are things in my closet that cost a lot more than these (wedding dress for example) but they were gifts from my parents so I guess that doesn't count.

Purse: $135

Dress: $80 (though with being in 3 weddings over the next year, this number will probably skyrocket)

Shoes: $70

Wow, I''m surprised to see such high numbers! But then again my BF and I also share a 2 year old Hyundai even though we make very nice salaries. What can I say?...we''re savers! Here''s mine:

Purse: $295 - Coach. This was my getting into law school present to myself.

Dress: $200 Bridesmaid dress for my brother''s wedding

Shoes: I honestly don''t remember but I know for sure it wasn''t more than $150.

Handbag? $80.00 plus tax. Mid-level designer purse bought on sale. It sits on a shelf in the closet. Waste of money and closet space.

Shoes? $70.00 plus tax. This summer; Anne Klein sandals I wear several times a week.

Dress? Non-wedding? $125.00 plus tax. Many years ago. For a special occasion. And many a special occasion after that, until it went out of style.

I don''t want my money on my back, or in my closet.
