I'm sure in this case, it is better not to share the link until after the bidding is over. It stands to reason to keep the URL under wraps so that lurkers will not kick up the price higher than it is worth.

The big grey one with a slight tinge of grey deluding itself into believing it to be bluish?
Perhaps after a re-cut it could be a sparklier grey.

Yep. I like grey-blue stones, as long as they're not inky. This one is turbid and grey, but it's an open grey. It's sort of a periwinkle.

I look forward to the last 5 minutes on this one, when everyone swoops in. Will the price exceed $20/ct?

Don't worry, the silk doesn't make it look like a Kashmir sapphire. :tongue: Not loving the color, but I like the size and shape of it. Decent cutting for a non-precision cut gem.

I also have a max price in mind so there won't be a bidding war on my end. I've had my sniper set for a few days now and that is the highest that I'm willing to go. I won't be watching it so there's no temptation to go higher. Seriously though, good luck to you and hopefully someone on PS will win it and post pics. 8-)

Meh, when I originally posted, I thought that the stone was too grey and murky for the taste of most on this board, and I was betting that there was one person bidding on it who didn't realize how much I liked it and was just going to push-push-push me and lose anyways...but once I realized that half the board was looking at it, I figured it wouldn't go for a bargain anyways and it might as well be the best "man" wins.

Ditto! Too gray and sleepy for me too, but at least it isn’t overly dark and is a decent size. 17 hours is a long time yet so I’m sure we’ll see the price spike up during the last hour, with possibly some frenzy bidding at the last minute (literally). :naughty:
