Thanks! I have had a few pair of la pousette backs and have always worn them smooth side in, or facing your lobe. So your option #1. They can be tricky devils to handles....I think the first time I owned some, one promptly popped out of my hand and went down the heat register. From then on, while using those backs, I stand in the middle of a room!
