To buy or not: SI2 diamond with cloud on the table?

Hi all,
I''m kinda new to the boards (I''ve been lurking and reading up on some previous posts). I have a Q. The GIA report for the diamond I''m looking at doesn''t say "Clouds not shown", which I hear is bad, but a decent sized cloud is drawn on the table of the diamond. I attached a copy of the inclusions they drew on the report (sorry for the really poor quality).

Do you think I should pass on this one? It has excellent cut/sym. You guys are the best! Thanks for all your help!

Did you see this diamond? Or can you get a picture of it? You won''t know if it affects the brilliance or performance of a diamond the diamond unless you see the actual diamond.

If this is from an online vendor ask if it is an in-house stone so someone can look at it tell you if is an eye-clean diamond or if the inclusion affects the performance of the diamond.

I can't see a picture of your inclusion plot.

I don't think that an individual cloud would be a problem - not even a dense one - but other inclusions also need to be considered. But it would be nice to be able to view the plot.

The biggest concern would be if it said "clarity grade is based on clouds that are not shown" - indicating the risk that the whole stone is filled with clouds, which could affect sparkle, even though eye clean because the clouds are whitish/hazy areas.

clouds not shown is not a problem. the cloud in the table might be a problem. Who is selling the stone? If possible, have a gemologist to look at it.

What the the depth, table, crown and pavilion angles for the stone? Also, girdle variation, star and lower half numbers?

Sorry-the inclusion plot is posted in the original post at the bottom as an attached file (sorry, it is not great quality--it came out weird when I made it a PDF). I'm not sure how to embed it into the post?

-The stone is from BN
-It scores a 1.2 on the HCA.
-Table is 56; Depth 61
-Crown/Pavillion angles are 34.5/40.8
-Girdle is Thin-Medium
-No cutlet

-The only issue is the cloud on the table! The report does not say clouds not shown--but that decent sized one IS drawn on there.

ok, mis-understood. Not way to tell the effect of the cloud on the performance of the stone based on the clarity plot. So ask BN or hired an independent appraiser to look at it for you during the 30 days return period.

Thanks for your help. I gave BN a call (asked if it was eye clean, and if the cloud was affecting the brilliance) and they said the jeweler will get back to them tomorrow, and they are putting it on hold for me in the meantime! Nice!

"Clouds not shown" in the comments section is not an issue, the time to be concerned is now with an SI2 cloud drawn on the clarity plot, this could be an issue affecting performance. Do you have any other diamonds in mind?

Another reason to be concerned is if you see ' clarity grade is based on clouds which are not shown', the key is the clarity grade based on clouds either drawn on the map or mentioned.

The cut of the diamond looks good so if you decide to get this diamond, I would definitely want an independant appraiser to evaluate this cloud during the return period, you can find one here.
