Time for a decision! Are these two exactly the same?!

Hi All,

Been lurking around here getting some great advice over the past few weeks. I've narrowed my purchase down to two round brilliant diamonds that will be going in a solitaire platinum setting. Both are confirmed eye-clean from blue nile, and are basically the same price. Biggest thing is one is 1.44ct VS2 and the other is 1.51 SI1. The inclusion in the second one is just scaring me a little, even though they confirmed eye-clean. I'm seriously about to flip a coin...! Any opinions would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I'm concerned about that inclusion as well- smack dab in the middle of the table = likely visible

Ugh, that's what I was worried about too when I got the pictures from them. Not being able to see it in person is really throwing me for a loop.

They are double checking with the vault, but should I be able to trust a "eye-clean, no milkiness" from them? Would they really say that its eye-clean if they know that I can just send it back, no charge, if it isn't? I'm really caught up between these two. I want to make sure I pick the "right" one because I won't have time to send it back and replace before I pop the question!

Just came back with "I received the visual reports back on the diamonds we discussed. Both Vault Managers reported that the diamonds are eye clean, meaning you should not be able to detect inclusions at a distance of 6" - 8" with the unaided eye."

Can I trust this from the images above of the inclusion(s)? I keep going back and forth on these two, as they seem so similar to me. All things considered, I'm leaning toward the 1.51, solely based on size, but don't want to get it and clearly see the inclusion. Anyone think I should be swayed the other way? I'm looking to make a decision later today - any opinions would be great appreciated! Thanks so much.
