Tightening pave

Hi Everybody - I have a band ring with two rows of pave diamonds. If I shake the band near my ear I can hear stone/s rattling. Is tightening pave a difficult repair for a jeweler, or is this something that is commonplace with wear over time that is easily fixed? Thank you in advance!

I think it is worth doing! I purchased 2 ebay semi mounts and have lost little pave diamonds from both settings. My local jeweller said he'd charge about $200 / ring to go over and examine and tighten each one, which would be worth it overall, but at this point, its low in my priority list. I got the impression from him it was a simple task, just time consuming.

I'd suggest you get it examined and tightened, if the ring is particularly important/sentimental/valuable to you. Otherwise, you could just take the chance and see what happens over time, but if it is already 'rattling'... i'm thinking it won't end well.
