Hey Guys and Gals,

For my birthday, my fiance bought me a DBTY pendant from Tiffany''s (G,VS .14)...I LOVE it, but am wondering if I could crack the diamond, since the back is open? Is this safe for the diamond? I know it will get dirty fast, which I am not worried about (thanks to jewelry wipes, my SI ultrasonic, etc.)

ANY help would be appreciated. Keep in mind I like the necklace, and I am only concerned about the safety of the diamond

there are lots of dbty pieces out there. you''re safe.

I don''t think there is any danger of the diamond getting chipped or cracked. The bezel setting looks very safe, and a pendant doesn''t get any hard knocks. (Hope all is well with you and your family.)

I couldn''t possibly venture a guess until I''ve seen some pictures. At least 5. Including a neck shot.

Thanks gals!!!!

I love you all!!!! I will take pics when I get home (I am work, ugh!)....I love the necklace, I was just worried about the cutlet being cracked and figured if it didn''t work, I could always get my second choice necklace (the Tiffany cruciform with a yellow gold chain and platinum pendant)...but this works well for work.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I got it a bit early (my birthday is the 24th

It''s not going to crack against your skin, I really wouldn''t worry about it.

Maybe if you placed it on concrete and then took a sledgehammer to the back of the pendant...it might crack LOL!

Just wear it and don''t worry about it...and we definitely need pictures!!!
