tiffany, what metal?

hi everyone, im defo getting a tiffany engagement ring, very simple and classic, only one problem what metal does everone prefer yellow gold or platinum i love both, im very pale with blonde hair what would go best?

What metal colour do you normally wear with your other jewellery? I would go with what you like as in the long term, YG, Platinium etc the trends will go one way and then another IYKWIM. The other thing to consider is that I also like both and have started a two tone look, my engagement ring shank is gold the prongs are white gold, and my earrings are two tone etc.
I guess, it really is up to you, both are gorgeous colours.

White metal is in vogue right now, but who knows how long that will last, so there's no reason to choose based upon public preference. I chose platinum because it looks MUCH better with my skin tone (pale w/ pink undertones). I love yellow gold in necklaces and earrings, but for whatever reason, I think it looks awful on my fingers.

So, it's really best to go try on different metals and see what you like. Chances are one will look very obviously better than the other, which will make your decision an easy one!
