Tiffany Reproduction setting

Hi everyone

I have been lurking here for around 6 months.... mainly just to look at everyone elses beautiful jewellery. This site is quite addictive!
As you can probably tell from the title I am one of those girls who has fallen in love with the Tiffany setting. I think it is absolutely gorgeous

Whilst I love Tiffany, I don''t love the price! I have been searching through the forums and it seems that the best replica out there in the one by Superbcert.
Butttt having trawled through the internet, I came across another website which also sells a copy of the Tiffany setting.
Now this is the tricky bit for me because although the Superbcert replica looks veryyy close to the original one, this one looks even closer!
Mainly because the prongs are more squarish like the original setting. Here is the link to it

My SO is allowing me to pick the setting whilst he selects the diamond. I would like to know what everyone else thinks of this setting.
Is it closer to the original than the Superbcert setting? I would love to hear from anyone who has this setting or knows anyone who has it.

It looks very nice. However, I wonder if it''s actually an *exact* replica as they claim. I would think if it is, Tiffany''s would be dragging them in to court. Could be wrong, but I think Tiffany''s is very tenacious about defending their copyrights and patents.

I dont think it is an *exact* replica but pretty much the closest to me eyes. I was just wondering what everyone else thought of it.
On a sidenote.... Im pretty sure that Tiffany''s does not have a patent regarding that setting so even if it was an *exact* replica I dont think they could do
anything about it unless it was engraved with Tiffany & Co on the inside or something.

Rani, I''ve not seen the bTD repro but I do think a pricescoper or two may have it. I think the SC would be a great choice. Whiteflash has modified their Tiffany repro setting and it is gorgeous too.

Hi Rani! I have the WF Classic Tiff setting and I was recently in Tiffs looking at wbands and the SA kept making references to my ''Tiffany engagement ring'', and assumptions that I had bought it there. If a Tiff SA can''t tell the difference, I doubt anyone else is going to.

Good point. I guess they would have to pursue almost every jewelry seller in the universe if they did LOL. I know they closely monitor eBay and other sites for Tiffany replicas. I think the setting looks very nice. The price in Palladium is good too. My daughter has a very similar setting in 18k wg that her husband got her from Robbins Bros last year. I think he paid close to what that company wants for their platinum setting for that 18k wg setting. He''s not a pricescoper..either, so I am sure he WAY overpaid for both the diamond and setting, but she is happy with it, and that''s all that matters

Well if you like those prongs better, then go for it. I do not like them myself.

I bought my wife the SC replica. Every detail on it is perfect. The craftsmanship amazed me. I recommend it 100%. It matches perfectly with her knife edge wedding band from Tiffany (believe it or now, it was cheaper to buy out bands at Tiffany at the time...not sure if it''s still like that, though).

The WF replica is also beautiful. I was considering that at first but I seem to be stuck on choosing between
SC and the BTD replica. I just wanted to see what everyone else thought of the BTD replica. I guess no one on PS has the BTD replica because I''ve searched
endlessly through the threads and haven''t found anything.
If there are any PSers out there with the BTD replica or knows anything about it please get in touch and help out a desperate lady lol

BTD has some forums too; there''s a link off their homepage somewhere I think. There should be plenty of real-life pics of their tiffany repro in the customer gallery pics I''d think. From what I hear, their workmanship is great. They just are geared towards sims, so I don''t think many people consider them to set diamonds. Not that they couldn''t I''m sure.

Rani I just don''t know enough about the BTD one to comment. between them and SC, i''d choose the SC just b/c we''ve seen so many and there have been so many happy customers with that ring.
