Hey everyone! I have been lurking around on this website for the past few months. I just signed up today because I have a question about the Tiffany Novo. My girlfriend is really interested in this ring. I want to get it for her sometime next year. I went to the Tiffany website and the price of the ring starts at about $2,900. If I wanted to spend no more than $2,900-$4,000 on the ring would I be able to and it still has the same features as the one on the page. I know the diamond would be much smaller but would it have the diamond accents going around the band and things like that? Please if anyone can help me I would be grateful. Also if anyone knows how much the Novo costs depending on carat size I would like to know. Hopefully after all this I can tell you guys about the aftermath!

If you do a search for Tiffany Novo here, a LOT of threads will come up. You may also get some responses from people on this board who will suggest you have a jeweler make you a similar setting that's not the Tiffany brand, to save a LOT of money (that would be my advice). That being said, here are a couple links for one girl's thread and her Tiffany Novo drama. It might help you make some decisions

ETA: Here's another person's thread that will be helpful to you

But like I said before, if you do a "Tiffany Novo" search, literally PAGES of results will come back and should really help you out.
Good luck and welcome to PS

PS...the Signed Pieces website might be worth looking at too. Here you can get an actual Tiffany ring, but for a lower cost. They have had the Novo on there before, but you just have to keep checking in to see when they get new stuff. You can also contact them and tell them what you're looking for and they might be able to help you.

if she''s stuck on tiffany, get her the tiffany. if she''d be happy with something close, Goodoldgold sells a square hearts and arrows stone (much like the novo) and you can get the Ritani endless love setting and you will have the exact same look without the tiffany pricetag. one poster here has been in tiffany''s and the sales rep mistook her cushion in the ritani for the novo, it''s that close. But, if the blue box is important, by all means give her the tiffany experience. a 4K budget there isn''t going to go very far i''m afraid, my guess a stone under .50 for sure..good luck...

How big would that be? I don''t know that much about diamond quality and things like that. I am currently learning as we speak. Do you have a picture of a ring of that carat size?

What size ring does your girlfriend wear? That will make a difference in how large the stone will look. Let me know her ring size and I''ll try to dig up a picture for you.

She wears a size 5. Thanks!!!

W00t! Here is a whole thread of stones under 1 carat.

Anyway, halfway down on this page you''ll find almost exactly what you''re looking for: CosmoGirl''s 0.61 carat Tiffany Novo in size 5.5. Looks pretty good! Unless you''d like the proposal to be a surprise, my advice would be to call Tiffany and ask them to bring in some Novo rings in your price range so your girlfriend could try them on and decide whether she wants the Tiffany one, or a replica with a larger diamond for the same price.

Just reread your original question. A $2900-$4000 Tiffany Novo would still have the same features, such as the pave diamonds on the side, but the look of the ring will be pretty different because of the smaller center diamond. I don''t really know much about Tiffany pricing, but my guess is that $4000 can only get you 0.25 or 0.3 carats in a Novo ring. It''s best to call them and ask. The only price I remember is the one that BriBee linked, where the person got a quote for a 1.3 carat Novo that was $18,000.

I would get it copied, unless she's set on the Tiffany name. Good Old Gold (www.goodoldgold.com) carries a cut called the "Square H&A" that's very similar, and paired with a pave band, you have the same look for a lower cost (or a bigger stone for the same cost). According to the Tiffany website, the ring STARTS at $3,000.

Hi!

I just been looking for an upgrade on my ering and I have the classic Tif setting, wanted to replace it for a novo. Luckily I made 'friends' with a SA so she gave my a lot of different prices in my range (and put a lot of effort to find the right stone in my range). I will probably scare you with them, but here they are:

.46 H VS $4630
.53 I VVS $6130
.62 I VS1 $6300
.52 I VVS $6100

I wanted to get the .62 but unfortunately that was already sold... The next thing they had in that ct size was at least a $1000 more. But if you're not in a hurry, they can keep an eye for new ones for you. That's what they did for us too.

I ended up getting an upgrade on my Tif setting, and proud to be wearing it for 2 days now!!! I went from a .44 to a .91 and I think that's a great size. The novo in that size went up to $10000+.

Oh and to answer your question, to me they don't give the same look as the one on their site, because that holds like a 5 ct stone or something haha. Of course the features will be the same, but I was disappointed with the actual size of the stone, compared to the classic Tif setting. That round one looked just so much bigger to me hihi

(When I'm back home, I will post some pics of my new ring :D )

I thought the same when I looked at it in the smaller size. I think that you need a pretty large diamond to replicate the way it looks on the tiffany site.

Hi there :)

Congrats on your upcoming engagement!
I have a Tiffany Novo .61ct, F colour VS2 and I love it!! When I first saw it in the ad last year, I knew it was the one I wanted

, but everyone is right in telling you that it looks very different in a smaller stone vs a bigger stone. Almost like a completely different ring if you ask me!
It will still have all the same detail of a bigger stone (8 1pt stones on either side, totaling 16pts), but the way the basket is (correct me if I''m wrong), doesn''t seem to highlight a smaller stone. Some might think it looks a little bulky for a smaller stone, including me, on anything smaller than .50. Sometimes looking at mine I think it can look a little bulky, but I love it nonetheless!
Anyways, my ring was $8050 USD, plus NY taxes

Good luck in whatever in you decide to do!
