Tiffany Novo Diamond Size

What are people''s opinions on the best size diamond for the Tiffany Novo? The band is very slim (2mm I believe) so I didn''t want it to look unproportional. The pics I''ve seen on some of the 1 ct look much bigger. Is 1 ct ideal or would a 1.3 or so look good on that width band setting too?

First, we can''t really say, because if one 1 ct. stone is deep, and one is rather shallow, there could be a big difference in how they face up/how big they look. I can tell youi there are many women who don''t think any diamond is "too big".

Cushions on average also face up smaller than rounds of same weight. It''s really personal, most want the biggest they can get. I''m not one of them. For me, a 1.4 round was perfect on my 5.5 finger. So it''s really impossible to say.

Having said all that, a 1.3 won''t be too big imo, unless she has actually expressed a desire for a "small" diamond.

It would all depend on the hand, finger size, and her style/taste, but I''ve yet to see a Novo with a center stone so large it looks unproportional. The largest I''ve seen in person is a little under 3ct.

My thoughts exactly!

Size preference is really a personal thing. I might think 1ct is a perfect size, but others might think it''s too small (probably not many people would actually think that about 1ct, but just for argument''s sake

)... while still others might find it ridiculously large. It''s all a matter of personal preference

I know that doesn''t help you with the question at hand, but just know that it''s not really an answerable question. There''s no such thing as a ''perfect'' size, even for a specific setting.

i think the novo looks best as a 1.5 or larger because of the delicate angles. I''ve seen them smaller and it looks almost like a round.

I''d say that 1.3 would be more ideal than 1.0. It costs a fortune to upgrade at Tiffany, so it is really best to buy the most you can at the outset.
